Theresa May seeks more time from MPs for Brexit deal


LONDON: PM Theresa May told lawmakers on Tuesday to hold their nerve over Brexit and provides her more time to barter a deal appropriate to each the European Union and the British parliament. The UK is on track to depart the European Union on March 29 with out a deal until May can convince the bloc to amend the divorce deal she agreed ultimate yr and get it approved by way of British lawmakers.


"The talks are at a crucial stage," May mentioned. "We now all need to hold our nerve to get the changes this House requires and deliver Brexit on time." The chief of the opposition Labour Party Jeremy Corbyn accused her of operating down the clock with sham negotiations to force parliament into backing her deal. "This is an irresponsible act. She is playing for time and playing with people's jobs, our economic security and the future of our industry," Corbyn told parliament.
