School painted in tricolour hues to instill patriotism

UDAIPUR: As one enters the gate of government primary college at Himmatpura village in Dungarpur, the colourful colours now not handiest pleasantly surprise the customer but also evoke a sense of patriotism. Not simply students and academics, all of the village feels proud having a look on the college building which is painted within the hues of the tricolour. The thought came from headmistress Mamta Yadav who took the initiative and were given all of the college building painted in saffron, white and green. Funds were gathered thru donation since no budget used to be allotted for infrastructure building here.

“The paint has now not handiest given the building a new glance but also radically affected the young minds who don't clutter across the space anymore, nor do they scratch or grimy the varsity partitions,” Yadav instructed TOI.

The college used to be no exception until a few years again when poor infrastructure, grimy classrooms and children in dirty and torn uniforms were a standard scene here. There used to be a time when authorities had recommended that the varsity be close for lack of abundant selection of students. “There were handiest 33 students enrolled here and it used to be tricky to run as in keeping with government norms. But we worked on enrolments in addition to the facilities and now the selection of students has larger to 94.” Yadav says. To draw in students and channelize their energy towards learning, the headmistress spent the cash from her personal pocket to get the lecture rooms painted with attractive caricature characters.
