Pune: Ornaments worth Rs 12 lakh stolen


PUNE: Unidentified men stole embellishes value over Rs 12 lakh by way of breaking locks of a flat at Gururaj Housing Society at Padmavati in Sahakarnagar between February 3 and 12.
Flat proprietor Hemangi Kulkarni (58) has lodged at FIR at Sahakarnagar police on Tuesday night time.


Kulkarni had gone to stick on the place of dwelling of her son Girish at Navi Mumbai for a month on February 3.


Police stated burglars used sharp items for breaking the locks of her flat number 7 located on the second flooring of B/nine construction rental and stole gold and diamond studded embellishes and silver embellishes value Rs 12,11,700 by way of breaking the bedroom cabinet locks and decamped with the booty.


The burglary got here to mild after Kulkarni’s neighbour discovered her door locks damaged and alerted her following which she and her son rushed to Pune and registered the grievance on verifying details of the valuables stolen.


On the development in investigations, senior inspector Anil Shewale in-charge of the Sahakarnagar police station on Wednesday stated,“There are no CCTV cameras on the housing society. The security guards have no knowledge of the burglary. We are operating on positive clues and we are hoping to hit upon the burglary case on the earliest.”
