Odisha: Home guard loses limbs after being run over by train


BHUBANESWAR: A home guard on Wednesday lost his legs after being run over by a teach at Nilgiri railway station in Balasore district.


Chief minister Naveen Patnaik has introduced Rs 1 lakh reimbursement and free remedy for this house guard. The injured man identified as Natabar Nayak, who works under Soro police station, used to be touring in a teach from Soro to sign up for responsibility for chief minister Naveen Patnaik’s programme in Balasore.


The incident passed off when the speeding Duronto Express ran over him while he used to be crossing the railway monitor on the station. Passengers rescued him in vital condition and took him to the Balasore district headquarters clinic for remedy.
