Mumbai: Pickpocket tries to clean up act, killed


MUMBAI: A pickpocket's determination to scrub up his act and lead a regular existence price him his existence as he was once stabbed to dying by means of his brother-in-law for refusing to continue with the crime.

The Trombay police have arrested 35-year-old Anwar Shaikht. The deceased, Sarfaraz, a resident of Cheeta Camp in Trombay, is survived by means of his wife and two kids.


According to police, Sarfaraz and Anwar were married to 2 sisters. Both used to pick pockets on BEST buses and trains. "Both were recently released from jail in Pune, following which Sarfaraz decided to quit pickpocketing, but Anwar wasn't happy with the decision," mentioned senior inspector Prakash Salvi.
