Mumbai: Mega block to affect train services

MUMBAI: The Central Railway could have a mega block on Harbour line between CSMT and Chunabhatti / Bandra from 11.10am to 4.10pm

Special services will run between Panvel and Kurla (Platform No.8) all over the block duration. Harbour line passengers are authorised to trip by way of Main Line and Western Railway from 10am to 6pm all over the block duration.

There might be no mega block between CSMT and Kalyan nowadays on the Mainline.

Due to the Harbour line mega block, suburban trains are likely to be more crowded than usual. Passengers are asked to not take any risks while travelling. They are also asked to keep away from travelling on the footboard, rooftop of locals and to not board extraordinarily overcrowded trains, officers stated.

To perform repairs work of tracks, signals and overhead apparatus, a jumbo block might be taken on Up and Down fast lines between Santacruz and Goregaon from 10.35am to 3.35pm nowadays. During the block duration, all fast line trains will run on gradual lines between Santacruz and Goregaon stations. Due to this, some Up and Down native trains will remain cancelled.
