Mentally unstable woman gang-raped in Agra

AGRA: A mentally unstable dalit girl was allegedly gang-raped in far flung house of Agra district by way of two men.

The incident took place on Sunday afternoon when the 27-year-old girl, hailing from Chhit village of Kheragarh police jurisdiction, was amassing firewoods close to Kagraul canal. She was allegedly picked up by way of two motor-bike borne men, who took her to a secluded place close to Kagraul police jurisdiction.

Speaking to TOI, Sanjul Pandey, station area officer of Kagraul mentioned, "The survivor was rescued by local farmers who heard her scream. They caught the accused who were identified as Aslam Qureshi and Akhlaq Qureshi. We have booked the accused under IPC sections 376 D and ST/SC act."

On Monday, the survivor was sent for medical examination at govt women clinic, while the two accused had been introduced in courtroom for judicial remand.

The survivor is married to a day-to-day wage labour. At the time of incident, her's husband was at work.
