Man held with 15 live bullets at Delhi airport


NEW DELHI: A Raipur-bound passenger used to be apprehended on the Delhi airport Wednesday for allegedly sporting 15 live bullets in his luggage, an reliable stated.

A CISF officer, deputed on the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) to scan the luggage of commuters, detected bullet-like items at the x-ray observe whilst checking the bag of passenger R Taneja round 5 am.


"Fifteen live bullet rounds of .32 mm calibre were recovered from the passenger who was travelling to Raipur in Chhattisgarh," the reliable stated.


The passenger used to be not allowed to take the flight and used to be passed over to the police as he could not produce any documents for sporting the ammunition, the reliable stated, adding that he used to be later booked beneath sections of the Arms Act.


Arms and ammunition aren't allowed to be carried by way of passengers as consistent with Indian aviation safety laws.
