Mamata seeking 'kleptocrat club' help to become PM: Jaitley

NEW DELHI: BJP saved up its attack on Mamata Banerjee over her competitive protest against the CBI, with Union minister Arun Jaitley alleging that the Trinamool chief, who needs to rule India, had enlisted the fortify of the "kleptocrat club" for her ambition. Jaitley mentioned Banerjee raised the bogey of an assault on federalism and controlled to gather PM aspirants from opposition ranks to additional her ambition.

"Her speeches attack PM Modi but her strategy is aimed to defocus some of her other colleagues in the opposition and hogging the centre-stage," he wrote in a blog as he disregarded the Trinamool boss's protest against CBI's transfer to query Kolkata police chief Rajeev Kumar through pronouncing that the central company were investigating the scam since 2014.

Jaitley used to be similarly scathing on other opposition leaders. Most opposition leaders or their associates supporting Banerjee "are today being investigated, prosecuted and in some cases have also been convicted for crimes of corruption", wrote Jaitley in his blog titled 'Kleptocrat Club'.
