Kindness gets man beaten and robbed


He gave his phone to a stranger to make an emergency call; the person walked off with it and then assaulted him, stole his cash and cards

P Devaraja , a 33-year-old personal company worker, concept he was once doing a random act of kindness when he gave his phone to a person who stated he wanted to make an emergency phone call.

Little did he know that he would end up getting attacked and robbed of his cash and valuables close to the Kengeri railway platform on Railway Parallel Road at Kengeri Satellite Town.

And this was once at 9.45 am, at the morning of February 6, when Devaraja had returned from Maddur and alighted at the Kengeri railway station. As Devaraja got down from the ultimate trainer of the educate, one the 2 accused, elderly round 30 years of age, approached him and asked for his mobile phone, claiming that he didn't have one and wanted to make an emergency phone call.

“Trusting the stranger, the sufferer gave him his phone. The accused, whilst talking to his associate, asked him to come back toward the platform, and started strolling off with the phone.
When Devaraja demanded his phone again, the accused was once joined via any other man and the 2 dragged the sufferer in opposition to a bush. They started assaulting him with a stick and demanded that he give up the money and different valuables. They kicked and punched him and asked him at hand over his cash, debit cards and their PINs,” stated an officer who is a part of the investigations.

Devaraja, a resident of Ranganathapura in Kamakshipalya, was once lucky to escape from the 2 males and lodged a grievance with the police.

They started assaulting him with a stick and demanded that he give up the money and different valuables. They kicked and punched him and asked him at hand over his cash, debit cards and their PINs

“The accused had been drunk. They had been caught quickly as they had been in the same house, consuming alcohol. The two males don't seem to be professional robbers, however robbed the sufferer because they wanted cash to buy alcohol. The case continues to be under investigations and we are trying to confirm if they are all in favour of different robberies,” the officer added.

The sufferer who controlled to get to his administrative center in spite of the incident, knowledgeable his manager and was once treated at KC General Hospital in Malleswaram.

The Kengeri police have registered a case of inflicting hurt via unhealthy weapons (IPC 324), intent to provoke breach of the peace (IPC 504),legal intimidation (IPC 506) in conjunction with different sections towards the 2 accused. Further investigations are on.
