Karnataka: Miraculous escape for woman, her child after jeep knocks them down


MANGALURU: A 25-year-old woman and her toddler had a miraculous break out after they have been hit via a jeep. Fortunately, the mum and child escaped with minor injuries. The incident took place beneath the Uppinangadi police station jurisdiction and has been captured on CCTV.

The woman has been identified as Chandralatha while her two-year-old son is identified as Ritwij.


According to police, the jeep that knocked down the woman belongs to a catering firm, which additionally runs a restaurant named Tiffin Room in Puttur. The driving force of the jeep entered the restaurant after parking the jeep, and leaving the key in the ignition.


A teen, employed as a waiter in the resort, hopped into the jeep and fancied his possibilities with the car. Police stated he didn't know driving. As he became the key and stepped his foot on the accelerator, the jeep moved ahead with great pace, knocking down the woman and her child, who have been status a few metres away. In addition, the jeep additionally rammed into two automobiles and three motorcycles.


Locals gave the waiter a piece of their mind and referred to as the police. The woman, who sustained minor injuries on her toe and head, used to be administered first-aid via them.


Police stated the woman didn't want to report a grievance in opposition to the waiter.
