Int'l warrants against Randhawa, HC tells CBI

CHANDIGARH: International arrest warrants (pink corner notice) were issued in opposition to Balraj Singh Randhawa, the principle accused in the BMW murder case, the CBI informed the Punjab and Haryana prime courtroom on Tuesday.

The courtroom directed to be told whether Randhawa would give up himself or now not. The directions were given to the counsel of the mum of Randhawa, who moved the courtroom in quest of a CBI probe in the case. The Court seen if Randhawa could give up, it will imagine referring the case to CBI. The topic would arise for listening to on March 26.

Akansh Sen, the nephew of Himachal Pradesh former leader minister Virbhadra Singh’s spouse Pratibha Singh, was allegedly murdered after he was hit via a BMW automobile driven via Randhawa in Sector 9 in February 9, 2017. Harmehtab Singh alias Farid had already been arrested and undergoing a trial.

CBI particular prosecutor Sukhdeep Singh Sandhu had on remaining date of listening to submitted that in case any request has been despatched on behalf of the UT, the CBI would take suitable steps as required beneath the cases.

BMW murder case: Status report have been given

During the resumed listening to of the case, Sandhu said the UT had approached CBI whereby it was requested that CBI must approach Interpol to issue “pink corner notice” in opposition to Randhawa.

The courtroom had previous directed the UT management to present standing report on the probe in a sealed cover following, which was then submitted.

The courtroom was knowledgeable previous that the UT management on May 25 transferred the case to CBI on the other hand it had opposed it pointing out it was overburdened.
