In separate case, Kalka police books 2 for rape


PANCHKULA: In separate instances, Kalka police have booked two individuals for rape. In the primary case, a 17-year-old lady alleged that she was once raped by means of one among her neighbours.

The incident got here to fore when the lady complained of stomach pain. She was once taken to a clinic where doctors discovered her pregnant. A grievance on this regard was once given to cops by means of the mother of the lady.

During her counselling, the lady said that her neighbour Imran Ansari alias Singhbaaz had sexually assaulted her many times. She added that the accused used to threaten her of dire penalties if she informed any individual.

Cops based on the grievance and medical reports of the minor lady have registered a grievance below Section 6 of the Protection of Child from Sexual Offences Act (Pocso) and Section 376 (punishment for rape) of the Indian Penal Code at Kalka police station.

“The accused would be arrested quickly. Investigation into the topic is on,” said investigation officer assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Nasib Singh.

In the second one case, a 24-year-old lady has accused a person of raping her on the pretext of marriage.

The grievance informed cops that one among her neighbours approached her two-years in the past. They both develop into excellent buddies and the person allegedly promised her to marry her. Trusting him, both entered a relationship. The complainant said that the person raped her for one-year and later refused to marry her.


“When I raised my voice towards his act, he threatened me,” the complainant said.


A case below Sections 376 (punishment for rape) and 506 (punishment for legal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered towards the accused at Kalka police station.


“We have registered a case. The investigation is going on. The accused will likely be arrested quickly,” said assistant investigation officer sub-inspector Karamjit Kaur.
