Hooch tragedy: UP village mourns 10 deaths

MEERUT: Wailing and screaming have now not stopped since Friday morning in Umahi Kota village of Saharanpur, which has seen 10 deaths. The feeling of helplessness could also be writ huge at the faces of village elders and girls, who “somewhere failed” to save lots of their relations from the habit of the illicit liquor sourced from Khadar area. Out of the 46 hooch deaths in Saharanpur in the last two days, most 10 are from this village on my own.

Balwant’s relative, Bhushan Singh, mentioned: “On Friday morning, each the sons of Balwant had been rushed to hospital. His elder son, Satyawan, 28, died on Friday morning. Then, in the night time, 24-yer-old Jhagru kicked the bucket. The liquor destroyed all the circle of relatives.”
