Gurugram air ‘poor’ for 6th day, light rain likely on Wednesday


GURUGRAM: The town recorded a slight development in air quality on Monday but remained within the poor stage for the sixth day in a row.

The AQI was once recorded at 209 (poor) on Monday whilst it was once 221 on Sunday, 275 on Saturday, 201 on Friday, 281 on Thursday and 242 on Wednesday.

The 24-hour moderate of PM2.5, on Monday, was once recorded at 104.26 micrograms in line with cubic metre — around two times higher than the permissible prohibit (60 micrograms in line with cubic metre).


While the AQI was once recorded at 288 (poor) in Delhi, it was once logged at 358 (very poor) in Ghaziabad, and 316 (very poor) in Noida. The 24-hour moderate of PM2.5 at Gwal Pahari was once recorded at 96 micrograms in line with cubic metre.


The Met department said the air quality may just give a boost to in Gurugram because the wind velocity was once expected to increase. “The town is gradually witnessing an building up within the wind velocity. This might lend a hand disperse particulate matters, thus bringing down the air pollution. The situation will further give a boost to as gentle showers are expected on Tuesday night or Wednesday morning,” said a Met respectable.


“There is a forecast of shallow fog on Tuesday morning. Thereafter, partly cloudy and light rain in night is most probably,” said a Met forecast.
