Donald Trump's State of the Union address: Full speech

Text of President Donald Trump's State of the Union deal with, as delivered and equipped through CQ:
Madam Speaker, Mr. Vice President, participants of Congress, the First Lady of the United States, and my fellow Americans. We meet tonight in a second of limitless potential as we start a brand new Congress, I stand here ready to work with you to succeed in historical break-troughs for all Americans. Millions of our fellow citizens are looking at us now amassed in this great chamber, hoping we will govern not as two events, however as one nation.

The agenda I will be able to lay out this night is not a Republican agenda or a Democrat agenda, it is the agenda of the American people. Many folks have campaigned at the same core promises to protect American jobs and insist honest trade for American workers, to rebuild and revitalize our nation's infrastructure, to scale back the cost of well being care and prescribed drugs, to create an immigration gadget that is protected, lawful, fashionable and safe and to pursue a overseas coverage that places America's pursuits first. There is a brand new opportunity in American politics if simplest we've got the courage in combination to seize it.

Victory is not winning for our birthday celebration. Victory is winning for our country.

This yr, America will recognize two important anniversaries that display us the majesty of America's project and the ability of American satisfaction. In June, we mark 75 years since the get started of what General Dwight D. Eisenhower known as the good crusades, the allied liberation in Europe. On D-day, June 6, 1944, 15,000 young American men jumped from the sky and 60,000 extra stormed in from the ocean to avoid wasting our civilization from tyranny. Here with us tonight are three of the ones unbelievable heroes, Private First Class Joseph Riley, Staff Sergeant Irving Locker and Sergeant Herman Zeitchiek.

Gentlemen, we salute you. In 2019, we also have fun 50 years since brave young pilots flew a quarter of a million miles by way of house to plant the American flag at the face of the moon. Half a century later, we are joined through some of the Apollo 11 astronauts who planted that flag, Buzz Aldrin.

Thank you, Buzz. American astronauts will go back to house on American rockets.

In the 20th century, America save freedom redefined the middle category and when you get right down to it, there may be nothing any place on the planet that can compete with America.

Now we should step boldly and bravely into the next bankruptcy of this subsequent great American adventure and we should create a brand new lifestyle for the new 21st century, amazing quality of lifestyles for all of our American citizens is within reach. We can make our communities safer, our families more potent, our tradition richer, our religion deeper and our middle category larger and extra wealthy than ever before.

But we should reject the politics of revenge, resistance and retribution and include the boundless potential of cooperation, compromise and the typical just right.

Together we can destroy decades of political stalemate, we can bridge previous divisions, heal previous wounds, construct new coalitions, forge new answers and unlock the peculiar promise of America's future. The choice is ours to make. We should make a choice from greatness or gridlock, effects or resistance, vision or vengeance, unbelievable growth or unnecessary destruction. Tonight I ask you to make a choice greatness.

Over the ultimate two years, my management has moved with urgency and historical speed to confront problems unnoticed through leaders of each events over many decades. In just over two years, since the election, we've got introduced an unparalleled financial increase, a increase that has rarely been observed before. There's been nothing love it.

We have created five.three million new jobs and, importantly, added 600,000 new manufacturing jobs, one thing which just about everybody stated was inconceivable to do. But the fact is, we are just getting began.

Wages are rising on the fastest tempo if decades and rising for blue collar workers who I promised to battle for, they are rising faster than somebody else thought imaginable. Nearly five million Americans have been lifted off meals stamps.

The U.S. financial system is rising almost two times as fast as of late as when I took administrative center, and we are thought to be a ways and away the most up to date financial system any place on the planet. Not even shut.

Unemployment has reached the bottom fee in over half a century. African-American, Hispanic American and Asian American unemployment have all reached their lowest ranges ever recorded. Unemployment for Americans with disabilities has also reached an rock bottom. More individuals are working now than at any time within the historical past of our country. 157 million people at work.

We passed a large tax minimize for working families and doubled the child tax credit score. We virtually ended the property tax or demise tax, as it is often known as, on small companies, for ranches and likewise for circle of relatives farms.

We eliminated the very unpopular Obamacare particular person mandate penalty. And to provide critically ill sufferers get right of entry to to life-saving treatments, we passed very importantly proper to check out. My management has minimize extra regulations in a short time frame than every other management all the way through its entire tenure.

Companies are coming back to our country in huge numbers due to our historical discounts in taxes and regulations. And we've got unleashed a revolution in American power. The United States is now the #1 manufacturer of oil and herbal fuel any place on the planet. And now for the first time in 65 years, we are a net exporter of power.

After 24 months of rapid growth, our financial system is the envy of the world. Our military is probably the most tough on Earth through a ways _ and America is again winning each and every and each day.

Members of Congress, the state of our union is robust. That sounds so just right. Our country is vibrant and our financial system is flourishing like never before. When Friday it was announced that we added another 304,000 jobs ultimate month alone, almost double the quantity anticipated.

An financial miracle is taking place within the United States and the one thing that can stop it are silly wars, politics or ridiculous partisan investigations. If there's going to be peace and legislation, there cannot be battle and investigation. It just does not work that manner. We should be united at home to defeat our adversaries abroad. This new technology of cooperation can get started with after all confirming the more than 300 extremely certified nominees who are still caught within the Senate, in some cases years and years waiting. Not proper.

The Senate has failed to act on these nominations, which is bigoted to the nominees and really unfair to our country. Now is the time for a bipartisan motion. Believe it or not, we've got already confirmed that that is imaginable. In the ultimate Congress each events came in combination to pass unparalleled legislation to confront the opioid disaster, a sweeping new farm invoice, historical V.A. reforms, and after four decades of rejection, we passed V.A. Accountability in order that we can after all terminate those who mistreat our wonderful veterans.

And just weeks ago each events united for groundbreaking prison justice reform. They stated it could not be accomplished.

Last yr, I heard by way of friends the tale of Alice Johnson. I was deeply moved. In 1997, Alice was sentenced to lifestyles in prison as a first-time nonviolent drug culprit. Over the next 22 years she become a jail minister, inspiring others to make a choice a better trail. She had a big affect on that prison inhabitants and a ways beyond. Alice's story underscores the disparities and unfairness that can exist in prison sentencing and the need to remedy this total injustice. She served almost that 22 years and had anticipated to be in prison for the remainder of her lifestyles.

In June, I commuted Alice's sentence, when I saw Alice's stunning circle of relatives greet her on the prison gates hugging and kissing and crying and guffawing, I knew I did one thing proper. Alice is with us tonight and she is an excellent girl.

Terrific. Alice, please. Thank you for reminding us that we all the time have the ability to form our own destiny. Thank you very a lot, Alice. Inspired through stories like hers, my management labored intently with participants of each events to sign the First Step Act into law.

This legislation reformed sentencing rules that have wrongly and disproportionately harmed the African-American group. The First Step Act provides nonviolent offenders re-enter society. Now states around the country are following our lead.

America is a nation that believes in redemption. We are also joined tonight through Matthew Charles from Tennessee. In 1996, on the age of 30, Matthew was sentenced to 35 years for promoting medication and comparable offenses. Over the next twenty years, he completed more than 30 Bible studies, become a law Clerk and mentored a lot of his fellow inmates. Now Matthew is the very first individual to be released from prison beneath the First Step Act. Matthew, please. Thank you, Matthew.

Welcome home. Now, Republicans and Democrats should join forces again to confront an urgent nationwide disaster. Congress has 10 days left to pass a invoice that may fund our authorities, protect our fatherland and safe our very dangerous Southern border. Now is the time for congress to turn the world that America is dedicated to finishing illegal immigration and placing the ruthless coyotes, cartels, and human traffickers out of business. As we talk, huge organized caravans are at the march to the United States.

We have just heard that Mexican towns in an effort to take away the illegal immigrants from their communities are getting trucks and buses to deliver them up to our country in areas where there's little border protection. I have ordered another three,750 troops to our Southern border to prepare for this tremendous onslaught.

This is a moral issue of the lawless state of our Southern border is a danger to the security and safety and financial well-being of all America. We have a moral accountability to create an immigration gadget that protects the lives and jobs of our citizens. This includes our obligation to the thousands and thousands of immigrants living here as of late who observe the principles and revered our rules. Legal immigrants enrich our nation in countless ways. I would like people to come into our country within the greatest numbers ever, however they've to come in legally.

Tonight I'm asking you to protect our very dangerous Southern border out of affection and devotion to our fellow citizens and to our country. No issue better illustrates the divide between America's working category and America's political category than illegal immigration.

Wealthy politicians and donors push for open borders while living their lives in the back of partitions, gates and guards. Meanwhile, working-class Americans are left to pay the fee for mass illegal immigration, scale back jobs, decrease wages, overburden colleges, hospitals which can be so crowded that you'll be able to't get in, increase crime and a depleted social protection net. Tolerance for illegal immigration is not compassionate. It is in reality very cruel.

One in three girls is sexually assaulted at the lengthy adventure north. Smugglers use migrant youngsters as pawns to milk our rules and achieve get right of entry to to our country. Human traffickers and intercourse traffickers profit from the wide open areas between our ports of access to smuggle 1000's of young girls and women into the United States and to promote them into prostitution and modern day slavery.

Tens of 1000's of innocent Americans are killed through lethal medication that cross our border and flood into our towns, including meth, heroin, cocaine and fentanyl. The savage gang, MS-13, now operates in a minimum of 20 different American states and so they almost all come by way of our Southern border.

Just the day gone by, an MS-13 gang member was taken into custody for a deadly shooting on a subway platform in New York City. We are disposing of these gang participants through the 1000's. But till we safe our border, they are going to stay streaming proper back in. Year after yr, countless Americans are murdered through prison illegal extraterrestrial beings.

I have gotten to understand many wonderful angel mothers, dads and families. No one must must endure the terrible heartache that they have got had to endure. Here tonight is Debra Bissell. Just three weeks ago, her oldsters, Gerald and Sharon had been burglarized and shot to demise of their Reno, Nevada home through an illegal alien.

They had been of their 80's and survived through four youngsters, 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Also here tonight are Gerald and Sharon's granddaughter Heather and great-granddaughter Madison and please stand. Few can understand your pain. Thank you. And thank you for being here.

Thank you very a lot. I will be able to never forget and I will be able to battle for the reminiscence of Gerald and Sharon that it must never happen again. Not one more American lifestyles must be lost because our nation failed to keep an eye on its very dangerous border.

In the ultimate two years, our brave ICE officials made 266,000 arrests of prison extraterrestrial beings, including the ones charged or convicted of nearly 100,000 assaults, 30,000 intercourse crimes and 4,000 killings or murders. We are joined tonight through a type of law enforcement heroes, ICE Special Agent Elvin Hernandez.

When Elvin was a boy, he and his circle of relatives came to the United States from the Dominican Republic. At the age of 8, he told his dad he sought after to turn into a different agent. Today, he leads investigations into the rankings of international intercourse trafficking.

Elvin says that if I couldn't be certain these young girls get their justice, I've truly Done My Job. Thanks to his work and that of his unbelievable colleagues, more than 300 women and girls have been rescued from the horror of this horrible scenario. And more than 1,500 sadistic traffickers have been put in the back of bars.

We will all the time reinforce the brave men and women of law enforcement. And I pledge to you tonight that I will be able to never abolish our heroes from ICE. Thank you.

My management has despatched to Congress a common-sense proposal to finish the disaster at the Southern border. It includes the humanitarian help, extra law enforcement, drug detection at our ports, remaining loopholes that enable child smuggling and plans for a brand new bodily barrier or wall to safe the vast areas between our ports of access.

In the past, the general public in this room voted for a wall. But the patrol wall never were given constructed. I will be able to get it constructed. This is a great, strategic, see-through steel barrier, not just a simple concrete wall. It will probably be deployed within the areas known through the border brokers as having the greatest want. And these brokers will tell you where partitions move up, illegal crossings move manner, manner down.

San Diego used to have probably the most illegal border crossings in our country. In response, a robust safety wall was put in position. This tough barrier almost totally ended illegal crossings. The border city of El Paso, Texas, used to have extraordinarily high charges of violent crime, some of the perfect in all the country and thought to be one of our nation's most deadly towns. Now, immediately upon its development, with a formidable barrier in position, El Paso is without doubt one of the most secure towns in our country. Simply put, partitions work and partitions save lives.

So let's work in combination, compromise and reach a deal that may in point of fact make America protected. As we work to protect our people's protection, we should also be sure that our financial resurgence continues at a rapid tempo. No one has benefited extra from our thriving financial system than girls who've stuffed 58 p.c of the newly created jobs ultimate yr.

You were not intended to do that. Thank you very a lot. Thank you very a lot. All Americans may also be proud that we have extra girls within the work drive than ever before.

Don't sit down yet. You're going to love this. And precisely one century after Congress passed the constitutional amendment giving girls the fitting to vote, we even have extra girls serving in Congress than at any time before.

That's great. And congratulations. That's great. As part of our dedication to bettering opportunity for women all over the place, this Thursday we are launching the first ever government-wide initiative all for financial empowerment for women in developing nations.

To construct on our unbelievable financial success, one precedence is paramount, reversing decades of calamitous trade policies, so bad. We at the moment are making it transparent to China that when years of targeting our industries and stealing our highbrow belongings, the theft of American jobs and wealth has come to an finish.

Therefore we recently imposed price lists on $250 billion of Chinese goods and now our treasury is receiving billions and billions of dollars. But I don't blame China for making the most of us. I blame our leaders and representatives for allowing this travesty to happen.

I have great admire for President Xi and we at the moment are working on a brand new trade take care of China. But it should come with real structural change to finish unfair trade practices, scale back our chronic trade deficit, and protect American jobs.

Another historical trade blunder was the disaster referred to as NAFTA. I have met the men and women of Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, New Hampshire and lots of different states whose goals had been shattered through the signing of NAFTA. For years politicians promised them they would renegotiate for a better deal. But nobody ever attempted till now.

Our new U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement, the USMCA, will exchange NAFTA and deliver for American workers like they have not had dropped at for a long time. I'm hoping you'll be able to pass the USMCA into law in order that we can deliver back our manufacturing jobs in even better numbers, expand American agriculture, protect highbrow belongings, and ensure that extra cars are proudly stamped with our four stunning words, made in the united statesA.

Tonight I am also asking you to pass the United States Reciprocal Trade Act in order that if another country places an unfair tariff on an American product, we can price them the exact same tariff on the exact same product that they promote to us. Both events must be capable to unite for an ideal rebuilding of America's crumbling infrastructure.

I know that Congress is eager to pass an infrastructure invoice. And I am eager to work with you on legislation to deliver new and important infrastructure funding, including investments within the innovative industries of the longer term. This is not an choice, it is a necessity.

The subsequent main precedence for me and for all folks must be to decrease the cost of well being care and prescribed drugs and to offer protection to sufferers with pre-existing prerequisites. Already on account of my management's efforts, in 2018 drug costs experienced their unmarried greatest decline in 46 years. But we should do extra. It's unacceptable that Americans pay massively more than people in different nations for the exact same medication, often made in the exact same position. This is mistaken, that is unfair, and in combination we will stop it, and we're going to stop it fast.

I am asking Congress to pass legislation that after all takes at the downside of worldwide freeloading and delivers fairness and price transparency for American sufferers after all.

We must also require drug corporations, insurance corporations and hospitals to divulge real costs to foster pageant and convey prices manner down. No drive in historical past has accomplished extra to advance the human situation than American freedom. In contemporary years we've got made remarkable growth within the battle against H.I.V. and AIDS. Scientific breakthroughs have brought a as soon as far away dream within reach.

My finances will ask Democrats and Republicans to make the wanted dedication to do away with the H.I.V. epidemic within the United States within 10 years. We have made unbelievable strides, unbelievable. Together we will defeat AIDS in America and beyond. Tonight I am also asking you to enroll in me in another battle that all Americans can get in the back of, the battle against formative years most cancers.

Joining Melania within the gallery this night is an excessively brave 10-year-old lady, Grace Eline. Every birthday _ Hi, Grace. Every birthday since she was 4, Grace asked her friends to donate to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. She did not know that sooner or later she may well be a patient herself. That's what took place. Last yr, Grace was diagnosed with mind most cancers. Immediately she began radiation remedy. At the same time she rallied her group and raised more than $40,000 for the battle against most cancers. When Grace completed remedy ultimate fall, her docs and nurses cheered, I really like her and still love her, with tears in her eyes and hung up a poster that read, ``Last day of chemo.''

Thank you very a lot, Grace. You are an ideal inspiration to everybody in this room. Thank you very a lot. Many formative years cancers have not observed new remedies. We will ask for $500 million to fund this crucial life-saving analysis to assist reinforce working oldsters. The time has come to pass faculty choice for America's youngsters.

I'm also proud to be the first president to include in my finances for a national paid circle of relatives go away so each and every new guardian has the danger to bond with their new child child.

There might be no better contrast to the gorgeous image of a mother conserving her toddler child than the chilling shows our nation saw in contemporary days. Lawmakers in New York cheered with the lifestyles upon the passage of legislation that may allow a child to be ripped from the mother's womb moments from start. These reside, feeling, stunning young children, who won't ever proportion their love and goals with the world after which we had the case of the governor of Virginia where he mentioned he would execute a child after start, to protect the dignity of each and every individual. I am asking Congress to pass legislation to prohibit the late-term abortion of children who can feel pain in a mother's womb.

Let us work in combination to construct a tradition that cherishes innocent lifestyles. And allow us to reaffirm a elementary truth, all youngsters, born and unborn, are made within the holy image of God. The ultimate part of my agenda is to offer protection to American safety.

Over the ultimate two years, we've got begun to totally rebuild the United States military with $700 billion ultimate yr and $716 billion this yr. We are also getting different international locations to pay their fair share. Finally.

For years, the United States was being treated very unfairly through friends of ours, participants of NATO. But now we've got secured over the last couple of years more than $100 billion of increase in defense spending from our NATO allies. They stated it could not be accomplished.

As part of our military buildup, the United States is developing a state-of-the-art defense missile gadget and beneath my management, we will never ask for forgiveness for advancing America's pursuits. For example, decades ago, the United States entered into a treaty with Russia wherein we agreed to restrict and scale back our missile capability.

While we followed the settlement and the principles to the letter, Russia again and again violated its terms. Been happening for a few years. That is why I announced that the United States is officially withdrawing from the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty or INF Treaty. We truly have no choice. Perhaps we can negotiate a unique settlement adding China and others or perhaps we can't, wherein case we will outspend and out innovate all others through a ways.

As part of a daring new international relations, we proceed our historical push for peace at the Korean Peninsula. Our hostages have come home. Nuclear trying out has stopped and there has not been a missile release in more than 15 months. If I had not been elected president of the United States, we would at the moment, for my part, be in a big battle with North Korea. Much work remains to be accomplished, however my dating with Kim Jong-un a just right one. We will meet again on February 27 and 28 in Vietnam.

Two weeks ago, the United States officially identified the respectable authorities of Venezuela and its new President, Juan Guaido. We stand with the Venezuelan people and their noble quest for freedom and we condemn the brutality of their regime whose socialist policies have became that nation from being the wealthiest in South America into a state of abject poverty and despair.

Here within the United States, we are alarmed through the new calls to adopt socialism in our country. America was founded on liberty and independence and not authorities coercion, domination and keep an eye on. We are born unfastened and we will stay unfastened.

Tonight, we renew our resolve that America won't ever be a socialist country. One of probably the most complicated set of demanding situations we face and feature for a few years is within the Middle East. Our means is according to theory, realism, not discredited theories that have failed for decades to yield growth. For this reason why, my management identified the actual capital of Israel and proudly opened the American embassy in Jerusalem.

Our brave troops have now been combating within the Middle East for nearly 19 years in Afghanistan and Iraq. Nearly 7,000 American heroes have given their lives. More than 52,000 Americans have been badly wounded. We have spent more than $7 trillion in combating wars within the Middle East. As a candidate for president, I loudly pledged a brand new means.

Great international locations do not battle unending wars. When I took administrative center, ISIS managed more than 20,000 square miles in Iraq and Syria just two years ago. Today, we've got liberated virtually the entire territory from the grip of those blood-thirsty monsters. Now, as we work with our allies to ruin the remnants of ISIS, it's time to give our brave warriors in Syria a warm welcome home.

I have also sped up our negotiations to reach, if imaginable, a political settlement in Afghanistan. The opposing facet may be very happy to be negotiating. Our troops have fought with unrivaled valor. And due to their bravery, we at the moment are ready to pursue a imaginable political option to this lengthy and bloody war.

In Afghanistan, my management is conserving constructive talks with a number of Afghan teams, including the Taliban. As we make growth in these negotiations, we can scale back our troop's presence and focus on counter-terrorism. And we will, certainly, center of attention on counter-terrorism. We don't know whether or not we will succeed in an settlement, however we do know after twenty years of battle, the hour has come to a minimum of check out for peace and the opposite facet would find irresistible to do the same thing. It's time.

Above all, pal and foe alike should never doubt this nation's energy and will to protect our people. Eighteen years ago, violent terrorists attacked the USS Cole and ultimate month American forces killed some of the leaders of that attack. We are commemorated to be joined tonight through Tom Wibberley whose son, Navy Seaman Craig Wibberley, was some of the 17 sailors we tragically lost. Tom, we vow to all the time consider the heroes of the USS Cole. Thank you, Tom.

My management has acted decisively to confront the world's main state sponsor of terror, the unconventional regime in Iran. It is an intensive regime. They do bad, bad issues. To be sure that this corrupt dictatorship never acquires nuclear weapons, I withdrew the United States from the disastrous Iran nuclear deal.

And ultimate fall we put in position the toughest sanctions ever imposed through us on a rustic. We won't avert our eyes from a regime that chants demise to America and threatens genocide against the Jewish people. We should never forget about the vial poison of antisemitism or those who unfold its venomous creed.

With one voice we should confront this hatred any place and all over the place it happens. Just months ago, 11 Jewish Americans had been viciously murdered in an anti-Semitic attack at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh. Swat Officer Timothy Matson raced into the gun fireplace and was shot seven times chasing down the killer. And he was very a hit.

Timothy has just had his 12th surgical procedure and he's going in for lots of extra. But he made the shuttle to be here with us tonight. Officer Matson, please. Thank you. We are without end grateful. Thank you very a lot.

Tonight we are also joined through Pittsburgh survivor, Judah Samet. He arrived on the synagogue because the bloodbath began. Not simplest did he break out demise ultimate fall, more than seven decades ago he narrowly survived the Nazi focus camps. Today is Judah's 81st birthday. (Audience sings ``Happy Birthday.'') They would not do this for me, Judah.

Judah says he can still consider the precise second nearly 75 years ago after 10 months in a focus camp when he and his circle of relatives had been placed on a train and told they had been going to another camp. Suddenly the train screeched to an excessively strong halt. A soldier gave the impression. Judah's circle of relatives braced for absolutely the worst. Then his father cried out with pleasure, ``It's the Americans, It's the Americans.''

Thank you. A second Holocaust survivor who is here tonight was a prisoner at Dachau. He recollects looking at by way of a hollow within the wall of a livestock automobile as American squaddies rolled in with tanks. For me, Joshua recalls, the American squaddies had been proof that God exists and so they came down from the sky, they came down from heaven.

I began this night through honoring three squaddies who fought on D-day within the Second World War. One of them was Herman. But there's extra to Herman's story. A yr after he stormed the beaches of Normandy, Herman was some of the American squaddies who helped liberate Dachau. He was some of the Americans who helped rescue Joshua from that hell on Earth. Almost 75 years later, Herman and Joshua are each in combination within the gallery tonight, seated facet through facet here in the house of American freedom. Herman and Joshua, your presence this night could be very a lot favored. Thank you very a lot. Thank you.

When American squaddies set out underneath the darkish skies over the English Channel within the early hours of D-day, 1944, they had been just young men of 18 and 19, hurdling on fragile landing craft toward probably the most momentous battle within the historical past of battle.

They did not know if they would survive the hour. They did not know if they would develop previous. But they knew that America had to succeed. Their cause was this nation and generations yet unborn. Why did they do it? They did it for America, they did it for us. Everything that has come since, our triumph over communism, our giant leaps of science and discovery, our unequalled growth towards equality and justice, all of it is imaginable due to the blood and tears and courage and vision of the Americans who came before.

Think of this Capitol. Think of this very chamber where lawmakers before you voted to finish slavery, to construct the railroads and the highways and defeat fascism, to safe civil rights, and to stand down evil empires.

Here tonight we've got legislators from across this magnificent republic. You have come from the rocky shores of Maine and the volcanic peaks of Hawaii, from the snowy woods of Wisconsin and the red deserts of Arizona, from the green farms of Kentucky and the golden beaches of California.

Together we constitute probably the most peculiar nation in all of historical past. What will we do with this second? How will we be remembered? I ask the men and women of this Congress, take a look at the alternatives before us. Our maximum exciting achievements are still forward. Our most enjoyable journeys still wait for.

Our greatest victories are still to come. We have not yet begun to dream. We should make a selection whether or not we are defined through our differences or whether or not we dare to go beyond them. We should make a selection whether or not we squander our great inheritance or whether or not we proudly declare that we are Americans. We do the unbelievable. We defy the inconceivable. We conquer the unknown.

This is the time to reignite the American creativeness. This is the time to search for the tallest summit and set our sights at the brightest superstar. This is the time to re-ignite the bonds of affection and loyalty and reminiscence that link us in combination as citizens, as neighbors, as patriots. that is our future, our fate, and our choice to make. I am asking you to make a choice greatness. No matter the pains we face, regardless of the demanding situations to come, we should move ahead in combination. We should stay America first in our hearts. We should stay freedom alive in our souls. And we should all the time stay religion in America's destiny. That one nation beneath God should be the hope and the promise and the sunshine and the consideration among all of the international locations of the world.

Thank you, God bless you. And God bless America. Thank you very a lot.
