Devotees, pilgrims take part in three-day Panchkosi parikrama


Allahabad: Amid chanting of mantras and shlokas, the three-day ‘Panchkosi parikrama’ began on the banks of the Sangam right here on Thursday. Before beginning the yatra, prominent saints, seers, and mahamandleshwars carried out the Ganga pujan and aarti.

The panchkosi parikrma would conclude on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion, saints said: “All deities stay at Prayag during the pious month of Magh and additional called upon devotees and pilgrims to be part of the parikrama to hunt salvation.”


On the primary day, saints, seers and priests after appearing Ganga pujan and aarti, visited Akshayvat, Saraswati Koop, Bankhandi Mahadeo, Takshakteerth to Maujgiri baba ghat and Maujgiri temple. After appearing puja, the saints and seers additional went to Shool Tankeshwar temple, Chakra Madhav, Gada Madhav, Pranras rishi ashram, and Someshwar Mahadeo temple.


The saints and seers after crossing VIP pontoon bridge also visited Shankh Madhav and arrived Shri Panchdasnaam Juna Akhara.


Those who attended the puja and aarti integrated president of Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad Narendra Giri, Acharya Mahamandleshwar Junapeethadhishwar Shri Awadheshanand Giri, basic secretary of Akhil Bharatiya Akhara parishad Hari Giri and others.
