CP BK Upadhyay honoured by NCRB for contribution in prison reformation


NAGPUR: City police chief BK Upadhyay, an IPS officer of 1989 batch, has been conferred the Commendation Disc through the director common of police heading the New Delhi-based National Crime Bureau Records (NCRB) this week. The senior IPS officer were given the award for his contribution in reformation and improvisation of jail management.


The citation, which was despatched to Upadhyay along with the medal, honoured his remarkable service at the helm of the state jail division as Addl DG earlier than being shifted to city as CP in 2018. The citation signed through senior IPS officer AP Maheshwari, who's at the present posted as DG NCRB, mentioned that Upadhyay was awarded the commendation disc and citation in reputation of his ‘reward worthy contribution in micro-mission 08’ and preparing a venture identify ‘Review and Implementation of regulations and procedure for the inner management of prisons and prisoners’.
