CM opens memorial for farmer leader


Coimbatore: Chief minister Edappadi Ok Palaniswami on Wednesday inaugurated a memorial built to honour farmer leader C Narayanasamy at Vaiyampalayam.

The memorial is built at a price of Rs 1.75 crore. Former leader minister J Jayalalithaa had introduced within the meeting on February 2016 in regards to the development of the memorial.


Narayanasamy used to be one of the pioneers in organizing farmers’ motion in western Tamil Nadu.


Narayanasamy had arranged farmers protests demanding welfare for farmers equivalent to unfastened electrical energy.


Palaniswami additionally laid foundation stones for the new auditorium and library to be built by the publics works division (PWD) on the Coimbatore Government Law College on Maruthamalai Road, at a price of Rs10.16crore, place of job constructions to be built at a price of Rsthree.55crore at the Industrial Training Institute campus, Kavundamalayam, and a brand new place of job construction at the campus of the Sarkarsamakulam union the town panchayat place of job.
