CBI seeks PCS exam details from UPPSC

ALLAHABAD: Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday performed marvel inspection on the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) to probe the alleged irregularities in the recruitment process of Assistant Personal Secretary-2010, Provincial Civil Services-2011 and Provincial Civil Services-15 checks.

The apex investigating company is probing all the competitive checks performed from April 2012 to March 2017. At least 584 results and 19,000 recruitments are underneath the scanner of the company. The probe in this regard had started in February 2018.

UPPSC officers mentioned a seven-member workforce comprising 5 DySPs reached the Commission at around 10 am. One of the workforce participants met secretary, UPPSC and closing questioned section officers.

Secretary, UPPSC, Jagdish mentioned, "The team enquired about the technical aspects of holding the exams, which have been explained to them. They also wanted to know that about the documents related to some exams."

He mentioned officers are cooperating with the CBI to present them the main points they sought after to grasp.

The advertisement for APC checks used to be issued on 2010 whilst prelims used to be performed on September 21, 2013. The typing and stenography tests were held from March 23, 2014 to March 30, 2014 whilst results were declared on June 19, 2015. There were a plethora of proceedings about alleged discrepancies in the recruitment process of the exam performed to fill 250 vacancies around the state.
