Call centre scam: High court summons investigating officer on February 26


NOIDA: The Allahabad top court docket has ordered the additional govt recommend to verify the presence of the investigating officer (IO) in the faux call centre rip-off on February 26, the following date of hearing.
Some 126 other people, most commonly youths, were arrested through the police once they busted the faux call centre in Sector 63 in December ultimate 12 months.

A division bench of justices Pankaj Naqvi and Umesh Kumar gave the directive on February 7, whilst hearing a petition filed through two of the three alleged masterminds of the rip-off — Narendra Pahuja and Jimmy Asija — searching for quashing of the FIR in opposition to them.

In their petition, Pahuja and Asija have claimed that they have “absolutely no worry with the Shailly group” — which is claimed to were behind the operation of the faux call centre operating from a development in Sector 63’s E block.

Earlier, Noida police had recognized Sagar Thakkar alias Shaggy because the kingpin behind the call centre rip-off, and Pahuja and Asija as his go-to individuals in NCR.


“Ensure the presence of the I.O. (investigating officer) concerned along side the case diary, failing which the court docket is also constrained to summon the SSP concerned in my opinion.
