Cabinet boost to health sector, nod to 1300 plus posts of doctors, nurses

Ranchi: In an important boost to the ailing well being sector in Jharkhand facing an acute manpower crunch, the state cabinet on Tuesday sanctioned round 1,300 posts of docs and clinical practitioners throughout clinical colleges and hospitals.
State well being minister Ramchandra Chandravanshi said a significant chunk of the posts of docs had been sanctioned for PMCH in Dhanbad and MGM in Jamshedpur.

“For PMCH, a total of 513 docs had been sanctioned while for MGM, the cupboard licensed the hiring of 713 docs,” said Chandravanshi, adding that further posts had been sanctioned separately for the approaching superspecialty wing of PMCH. “For that we created and sanctioned 77 new posts of docs, basically consultants for different wings,” he said.

About 12 sub-divisional hospitals run through the government too gets manpower. “As many as 288 posts had been created around the board from docs to nurses, helpers etc for the primary time,” said the minister.

To streamline the functioning of Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (Rims) in Ranchi, the cupboard additionally decided separate administrative work and clinical actions. “So now we have created 3 new posts — further administrators of administration and finance and deputy director of finance at Rims. Rims director will only be focussing on the well being facet while the administrative aspect can be dealt separately. It will ease some burden on docs and allow them to focus on offering quality services,” Chandravanshi said.

In every other vital determination, the cupboard additionally decided to increase fuel connections to girls underneath the Centre’s Ujwala scheme for all ration card holders in the state. “The primary standards for this is that any beneficiary must have a previous fuel connection,” said state food and civil supplies minister Saryu Rai. “For this, price range value Rs 45 crore had been sanctioned in the supplementary finances. For subsequent fiscal, budgetary provision of Rs 150 crore has been earmarked,” knowledgeable Rai.

A total of 20 proposals had been cleared in the cabinet assembly these days, some of which included nod to formation of State and district degree fire arms bureau underneath The Arms Rules, 2016, for proper disposal of seized guns, transfer of 12.50 acre land to Central Coalfields Limited on cost of round Rs 24 crore for the company’s plan of putting in place of clinical school amongst others.
