Basant Panchmi: Heavy crowd likely to put shuttle service off roads again


Allahabad: At least four,000 long-route and 500 go back and forth buses shall be plied to transport devotees from several districts of the state to town for third and last shahi snan (royal bathing) day of Kumbh Mela on the occasion of Basant Panchmi falling on Monday. The vehicles shall be stopped at temporary depots positioned on outskirts.
However, in case of heavy rush of pilgrims, UP State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) is not going to ply go back and forth products and services within the town and prohibit them to localities around the four temporary depots positioned in town outskirts. In case of skinny site visitors, the vehicles would take passengers from parking puts set up outdoor town to those nearest to Sangam. The service can be freed from price.

UPSRTC has stopped operations of buses in town on Mauni Amawasya after heavy turnout of pilgrims.


The parking quite a bit for 500 buses had been set up at Sant Nirankari, Nehru Park, Durjanpur and ITI until Kumbh Mela.


Sixty buses of the entire will go back and forth from Habusa Mode and Phulpur to Andawa Crossing. At least 198 would run from parking quite a bit at Nawabganj, Bela Kachaar and Shivgarh highways to Bharat Scout Guide College. The pilgrims or citizens could go to their locations from the depots.


“The 122 buses can be made to be had for devotees from Pachdevra and Gauhaniya crossings to Leprosy Bus Station, whilst remaining 120 would run from Puramufti and Nehru Park to Hindu Hostel,” mentioned SP Singh, regional service supervisor of IPSRTC.
