ATM robbery case: Haryana gang had plans to target finance firm


Rajkot: Two robbers arrested on Sunday in a three-month previous ATM money robbery case of Adipur informed cops on Monday that they had plans to target a finance company in Gandhidham.
“The robbers — Dharmendra Jat and Rahul Vij — mentioned they have been supposed to adopt recce of the company on Monday and execute the robbery within two-three days. They mentioned they had come to Varsamedi village of Anjar taluka for this objective and had stayed with Ravindra Jat, the 3rd accused who is absconding,” mentioned M S Rana, sub-inspector of Gandhidham local crime branch.

Meanwhile, police on Sunday night booked Dharmendra, Rahul Vij and Ravindra Jat for try to murder for opening fireplace at the cops. Dharmendra and Vij have been remanded to police custody for 14 days.

The accused had allegedly opened fireplace at the ATM’s security guard, bank worker and money van motive force, before getting rid of Rs 34 lakh money from the van on October 29.
