AITA sure of India's visit to Pakistan for Davis Cup tie


KOLKATA: A day after the Indian Davis Cup crew have been interested in play Pakistan in an away tie, the All India Tennis Association (AITA) expressed self belief that it is going to have the ability to ship the contingent to the neighbouring nation in spite of the Indian govt's coverage of not permitting sports activities teams to shuttle there. "I am confident we will be cleared to go to Pakistan. We have been drawn to play them in their den. If we can't go, we will be banned for two years," AITA secretary normal Hironmoy Chatterjee informed IANS over telephone.

"It will be difficult for us then (if India is banned) to get back to the World Group. We share a good relation with the Pakistan Tennis Federation and have no problems in travelling," he mentioned, rubbishing experiences that the tie might be held on a neutral venue.

The draw for the tie happened in London.

In the last week's World Group Qualifier, India have been overwhelmed Three-1 by way of Italy on the Calcutta South Club right here.

Ali did not remark at the crew's Pakistan shuttle plan, announcing they have no problem in gambling any place and on any floor as long as they get the golf green sign.
