Act against illegal structures in Huda sectors, govt told

GURUGRAM: The leader data commissioner (CIC) of Haryana has directed Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP), previous referred to as Huda, to behave in opposition to unlawful constructions and extension of shops in Huda sectors within three months. Holding such violation liable for visitors snarls in Huda sectors, the CIC has directed the authority to issue notices and take steps for fast removing of the encroachments.
The move comes following a grievance filed by way of RTI activist Aseem Takyar where he highlighted that despite the fact that executive companies take motion in opposition to encroachers in private colonies, they turn a blind eye in opposition to the defaulters in their own sectors.

Takyar had filed RTI petition on February 12, 2018 prior to the HSVP, soliciting for them to provide the listing shops, booths and shop-cum-office (SCO) which had their shutters facing the roads and had violated zoning norms within the Huda sectors. According to the Huda Act, shops and booths in Huda sectors can't open facing the roads. However, Takyar identified that not simplest had been the shops opening in opposition to the street however many shopkeepers had illegally extended their premises.

However, despite several reminders, HSVP didn't reply to Takyar’s RTI and the the plea went to the CIC. Following CIC’s path, HSVP submitted a reply prior to the fee in December 2018 that highlighted that violation by way of the shops, booths and SCO had been present in sectors four, 7, 7 (extension), nine, 9A, 10, 10A, 14, 15 Part-I & Part-II, 17, 22, 23, 23A, Jail Road and Old Jail Complex.

“These violations are causing visitors jams. Authority should issue notices to be sure that pedestrians do not undergo whilst crossing these roads,” Takyar mentioned.

Following the file, CIC Yash Pal Singhal directed the executive administrator of HSVP to initiate steps for casting off zoning violations within their jurisdiction.
