3 detained in Muzaffarpur gold loot case


MUZAFFARPUR: A unique staff of district police took 3 persons into custody here on Friday from two different places in connection with the loot of gold jewelry and cash from a finance company.

Six armed miscreants had looted 32 kg of gold jewelry and Rs 2 lakh in cash from Bhagwanpur branch of Muthoot Finance underneath Sadar police station on Wednesday midday after injuring the guards and bank’s branch supervisor. The evaluate of the values of looted gold jewelry was completed overdue on Wednesday night and its price went up to Rs10. 25crore as consistent with the current marketplace price.


SSP Manoj Kumar refused to divulge further main points. “We have detained 3 persons, however we can not disclose their identification and the group they are associated with as it will abate the investigation procedure.
