1,600 set to join JD(U) in 3 days


PATNA: Altogether 1,600 other folks will take the membership of JD(U) within the presence of the party’s nationwide vice-president Prashant Kishor over the next three days – Monday to Wednesday.


JD(U) place of work secretary Sanjay Sinha on Sunday said 10 camps would be organised on the party’s state place of work here for the aim. People occupied with joining the party can be introduced membership by Kishor.


In 5 such camps, members or ex-members of the panchayati raj institutions and urban local bodies, including two block pramukhs from Muzaffarpur district and a PACS chairman from Araria district, will join the JD(U), a JD(U) chief as regards to Kishor advised TOI.


In 4 such camps, scholars and youth will join the party. A lady student chief together with her 200 supporters will even join the party. In any other camp, around 200 young businessmen and entrepreneurs from across the state will join the JD(U) within the presence of Kishor, a party chief said.


Kishor lately launched ‘Youth in Politics’ campaign with an purpose to bring around one lakh youth into electoral politics. “The campaign intends to improve the JD(U) and support its worker base within the state. As a part of the campaign, thousands of other folks hailing from different occupations approached Kishor to sign up for the JD(U). Of them, 1,600 can be joining over the next three days,” a JD(U) functionary said on Sunday.
