Sonam on accusations against Rajkumar Hirani

Many prominent personalities were accused of sexual harassment and misconduct in the wake of the MeToo movement and the newest to be named is filmmaker-producer Rajkumar Hirani.

While many celebrities including Javed Akhtar and Karishma Tanna have voiced their opinion on the identical, a number of others including Nawazuddin Siddiqui have refrained from commenting on the topic.

Sonam Kapoor, who's lately selling her upcoming movie 'Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga', was asked concerning the accusations towards the movie's former manufacturer Rajkumar Hirani during a media interplay. The actress stated that while she has always believed the women in the MeToo movement, this time she would like to reserve her judgement.

A Pinkvilla report quoted her as saying, “In the Me Too movement, I always consider a lady. But on this case, we need to reserve our judgment. Two issues right here - one the movie is as essential as the movement and second, I've identified Hirani for many years and I appreciate him as a filmmaker and a man. I can talk about it at duration when the movie is launched. But what if it’s (allegations) no longer true, the movement gets derailed."

Sonam additional added that there was proper analysis in Tanshuree's case. "In Tanushree’s case, there was proper analysis done and many people came forward and you understand the place this is coming from,” she has been quoted as saying.
