Karnataka Congress MLA hospitalised after fight at resort

BENGALURU: Hosapete MLA Anand Singh has been admitted to a health center in Bengaluru after maintaining a head injury following a battle with Kampli MLA J N Ganesh at a lodge in the wee hours of Sunday.

According to the Congress resources, Ganesh hit a bottle on Anand's head following a heated argument all through a party.

Some Congress MLAs, who've been taken to a lodge amid alleged poaching makes an attempt via the opposition BJP, were reportedly partying till late on Saturday night when the incident took place.

Sources stated that Ganesh, who was once reportedly in touch with other disgruntled Congress MLAs making plans to change over to the BJP, entered into a heated argument with Anand as he held him accountable for the failure of 'Operation Lotus'. This led to an altercation between the two lawmakers following which Ganesh hit Anand on his head with a bottle.

Anand was once straight away rushed to a health center via other MLAs present at the party. There isn't any phrase yet from the health center about Anand's condition.

Meanwhile, the Congress sought to brush aside the stories announcing that no battle has taken position between the MLAs.

Reacting to the incident, the BJP stated that it is transparent that all isn't neatly throughout the Congress and took a dig at state party leader Dinesh Gundu Rao for no longer being able to save you the battle.

"What more proof do we need to tell all is not well within Congress..Congress MLA's in Eagleton resort indulged in physical fight & 1 MLA is admitted. How long will congress be in denial mode & blame BJP for all their differences? When political party is lame, it loves to blame," the Karnataka BJP tweeted.
