Jalandhar: Stray leopard attacks 4 after being pelted; rescued

JALANDHAR: A leopard strayed into Lama Pind area of Jalandhar on Thursday and it took around five hours to bolt it within a house. Forest and Wild Department officials mentioned that it it seems that strayed from hilly areas of Himachal Pradesh. As people amassed and there was once numerous noise and some individuals pelted brick-bats on it, which panicked the leopard and it attacked 4 individuals who gained some gashes.

It was once at around 12 in the noon that the leopard was once first spotted in a house and then it entered in a plot with boundary and roof. As Wildlife Department officials and workforce tried to catch it in the afternoon the use of a web, it managed to flee after jumping over a wildlife workforce who fell from the wall but escaped main accidents.

After escaping from there, the leopard moved around in the streets and was once looking for a place to hide. It then went in opposition to the fields. As numerous native residents amassed and there was once numerous chaos which additional stressed out the animal.

Later, police had to block the streets to stop people from crowding the slim lanes of the realm.

Around 5pm, the leopard entered in a house the place it was once cornered and a sedative was once also injected. Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Khushwinder Singh Gill mentioned that the leopard had been cornered they usually had been now exploring option the way to capture it in a cage, which had already been introduced there. "It apparently strayed from the hills of Himachal Pradesh and then after passing through fields of district Hoshiarpur it reached Jalandhar," he added.
