In touch with all mandals, says Union Ayush minister Shripad Naik


PANAJI: Union Ayush minister Shripad Naik on Sunday reacted sharply to allegations that he “wasn’t visiting” BJP mandals in Mapusa and Siolim, explaining that he used to be within the two constituencies over the last two months, and that he used to be in touch with all of the mandals.

“Around 45 days ago, I had long gone to Siolim and used to be in Mapusa for 8 days for the Ayush camp not too long ago,” he mentioned. He also mentioned that mandals making such statements with out taking it to the right discussion board also amounts to indiscipline within the party.

Speaking to TOI, the 66-year-old MP, who has been elected him to the Lok Sabha for 4 phrases, mentioned that there's no issue. “I have been in touch with all of the mandals. There is also some grievances, but I have at all times made it some extent to fulfill the mandals,” Naik mentioned.

“Whenever someone has invited me to wait any function within the constituency I have made it some extent to go there. I have at all times instructed the mandals that they will have to prepare a programme and are available to me an afternoon ahead of the function I will some how take out time and attend it,” the minister mentioned.

He mentioned if there used to be an issue then it will have to have been raised with the president of the respective mandal, if it used to be no longer resolved then it would have taken up with the district president and then with the state president. “Making one of these statement amounts to indiscipline within the party,” he mentioned.

Naik mentioned the voters of my constituency haven't any grievance towards me and even the opposition doesn’t have any issue with my functioning. “A minister has to seem after his constituency and his ministry each within ad out of doors the country.
