Deccan Queen Exp to chug with a new look


PUNE: The nation’s first superfast educate, the 89-year-old Deccan Queen Express, will soon don a new look.

The educate, which runs between Pune and Mumbai, will undergo a whole makeover below the mission “Utkrisht” of Indian Railways. The upgrade is anticipated to be whole by the center of the 12 months, when the educate turns 90. The first educate commenced its journey on June 1, 1930.

In November, Pragati Express, which runs between Pune and Mumbai, used to be upgraded below the Utkrisht mission.


Railway Pravasi Group Chairman Harsha Shah stated that the railways had to take proper care of Deccan Queen. “It is such an old educate and whilst it's excellent that it's being remodelled, the unique identity of the educate will have to no longer be meddled with,” she stated.
