Ati Vishisht Seva Medal for Lt Gen YV Krishna Mohan


HYDERABAD: Lieutenant General Yenduru Venkata Krishna Mohan has taken over price as Commandant of the premier, elite and prestigious Defence Services College Wellington, Tamilnadu. Earlier he was once General Officer Commanding of a Corps on Western Borders.


Lt Gen Krishna Mohan has additionally been conferred with “Ati Vishisht Seva Medal” at the eve of Republic day on January 26, 2019 for his services as General Officer Commanding of a Corps at Western Borders in the 12 months 2018. He was once previously conferred with “Sena Medal” and “Vishisht Seva Medal” by way of the President of India for his devoted and commendable carrier at Siachen Glaicer (Northern Glacier) – the perfect and coldest battle field and at Indo-China border at Sikkim.


Presently, he's the senior most serving Lieutenant General amongst three services - Army, Navy and Air Force - in each Telugu States; Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.


Lt Gen Krishna Mohan is the son of Dr Y Ramasubbaiah, resident of Mani Enclave, Yapral, Secunderabad, Telangana and an alumnus of Korukonda Sainik School, Andhra Pradesh, National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla, Pune. He was once commissioned into the seventh Battalion of 11th Gorkha Rifles on 19 December 1981. He served in various terrains along the frontiers of the rustic like in Siachin Glacier in J&K, Indo China border at Sikkim, Indo-Pak western border and as Assistant Chief of Integrate Defence Staff (Joint Operations) at HQ Integrated Defence Staff, New Delhi, Commandant National Defence College, New Delhi.
