AQI moderate; temperature drops to 5.4°C

Gurgaon: Air quality remained in the ‘moderate’ stage on Saturday and the night temperature dropped to 5.4 degrees Celsius from 9 degrees Celsius on Friday.

The air quality index (AQI) used to be recorded at 177 on Saturday, 126 on Friday and 286 (poor) on Thursday. The 24-hour reasonable of PM2.5 in the town on Saturday used to be recorded at 57.75 micrograms per cubic metre — within the permissible restrict (60 micrograms per cubic metre). The 24-hour reasonable of PM2.5 at Gwal Pahari used to be recorded at 62.91 micrograms per cubic metre. The AQI for Gwal Pahari station is not measured. The night temperature is predicted to go down to 5 level Celsius in next 24 hours.

“There is a forecast of shallow fog and partly cloudy sky on Sunday morning. The maximum and minimal temperatures would be between 18 and 5 degrees Celsius,” states a Met forecast. The maximum and minimal temperature on Friday remained at 18.6 degrees Celsius and 5.4 degrees Celsius, respectively. The humidity levels oscillated between 70 and 100%.
