Ambala: Mother booked for torturing son


AMBALA: The Ambala police on the representation of Child Welfare Committee (CWC) have registered a case beneath sections of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) (JJ) Act and Indian Penal Code (IPC) in opposition to a woman recognized as Alka Lamba, mother of a boy, for allegedly torturing her personal son.

The case has been registered on the complaint of Darshana Kumari partner's mother of Alka.


Kumari in her complaint mentioned, “My son Rohit Gaba were given married to Alka and since the time of marriage my daughter-in-law has been harassing us incessantly and because of the domestic disputes they are living one by one from me. Some days ago Alka had some battle with my son and grandson and lodged a complaint with the police and my son was once despatched to prison. Later, she began harassing and torturing my grandson. On December 29, my grandson asked me for lend a hand and I rescued him to get him treated from the Ambala City Civil Hospital. Alka were protecting him hungry and she or he were locking him inside the house incessantly from past some time. My grandson advised me that he does no longer need to keep together with his mother, therefore, I've contacted the CWC.”


Ambala City station area officer inspector Ajit Singh said, “On the representation of CWC, we have now registered a case in opposition to Alka Gaba beneath phase 75 of the JJ Act and 323 and 341 of the IPC. The arrest of the accused Alka is pending and as after acquiring some documents we are investigating the matter.”
