6 held in Sundargarh district for killing 5 members of family

ROURKELA: Police on Sunday arrested six persons on fees of killing five members of a circle of relatives, including four kids, on suspicion that they were practising black magic. The kids — elderly 10 months to 12 years — and their 30-year-old mom were killed with pry bars and dumped into an abandoned well close to their house at Indupur village, under Koira police station limits of Sundargarh district, on Friday night time.

The accused integrated five members of a circle of relatives and a tantrik, who is assumed to have instigated the others into committing the murders. The arrested were recognized as brothers Kisri Munda, Salu Munda, Dagam Munda, Debra Munda (brother-in-law of the 3), Motu Munda (a relative) and Budram Munda (tantrik). The victims and the accused reside in the same village.

Koira police stated Debra and his wife were having a struggle with the sufferer’s circle of relatives ever for the reason that couple’s first kid died due to an ailment some months again, whilst their 2d kid too was sick. Instigated by way of Budram, they blamed Mangli Munda, the 30-year-old sufferer, and her circle of relatives for his or her daughter’s dying.

Sources stated, Mangli was married to Tangru Munda for 13 years and they had two sons — Tikel Munda (7) and Chamara Munda (five) — and a 12-year-old daughter Maro Munda.
