34-year-old man held with eight stolen bikes

CHANDIGARH: The UT police has arrested a Tarn Taran resident, who especially used to thieve standard Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycles from the parking of bus stands and markets. As many as eight stolen cars, together with seven bullet motorcycles, had been seized from his possession. Police on Thursday produced the accused in an area courtroom and received his three-day police custody.

The accused has been recognized as Gurvinder Singh, 34. Cops at Sector 36 police station have claimed that together with his arrest, they'd solved eight circumstances of car thefts registered at sectors 36 and 49 police stations.

Police mentioned that that when receiving a tip off, a naka was once laid near ISBT-43 on Wednesday. As the accused reached there on a stolen motorcycle, he was once stopped for documents checking. During checking, police discovered that motorcycle was once stolen. The accused was once arrested and right through interrogation he revealed that he used to thieve motorcycles from the town. He added that when stealing a bike, he would park his motorcycle in parking zone of bus stands and different house where there were bullet motorcycles. He also used to take parking slips from the attendants.

After a while, the accused would reach the parking zone once more and smash the locks of the bullet bike. While going out of the paid parking house, he would give folded parking slips to the attendants in order that they might not read the registration quantity at the slip.

Police mentioned that Gurvinder was once additionally concerned with a homicide case registered at Khalra police station of Tarn Taran and different legal circumstances have additionally been registered at various police stations of Punjab in opposition to him.
